If you need to park your RV or trailer on the street temporarily, you must get a free permit or you risk receiving a citation.
The citation for parking a Lakewood RV, truck camper, or trailer without a valid permit is $48 a day.
If you have friends or family visiting from out of town with their RV or trailer, you must obtain a free permit for them. Without it, they could be fined $83 per day of unpermitted parking.

All vehicles, including RVs and trailers with a permit, must observe the city’s parking regulations, which include:
- No street parking during street-sweeping hours
- Current vehicle registration
- Maximum 72-hour parking limit
