Express Solar Roof Mount Permit (Residential)

Planning to install solar roof panels on your Lakewood home?

You'll need to apply for the permit directly through the Los Angeles County system. 

How to apply for the permit

1. Visit the L.A. County permit website. The site will display a long list of permits.
2. IMPORTANT! Enter "Lakewood" in the search bar at the top of the screen to display ONLY Lakewood permits.
3. You'll see the two Lakewood permits for solar panels (see image below). Choose the correct permit for your situation.
    

   

4. When you click on the blue "Apply" button, you'll be asked to log in or set up an account to access the application.
5. Review the instructions for the steps needed to complete the application.
