Afterschool Programs

Lakewood’s After-School Activity ZONE is a free drop-in program for school-age children, teens and preteens at city parks, Monday through Friday from 3 to 5 p.m.

Schedules flex to accommodate school holidays and vacation periods. You can pick up a current schedule at a Lakewood park or at City Hall, or anytime online.

Trained, responsible recreation staff are on site, supervising all activities. Rules of good conduct are enforced.

Spring, summer and winter break activities too

Activity Zone continues during spring break, summer vacation and winter break too.

Dates and park locations will vary, due to the different break schedules for the school district.

• Sports clinics and leagues for all ages

Most programs are free and do not require pre-registration. Some specialized activities may require a minimal materials cost.
