The slow lane of eastbound Del Amo Blvd. from Mae Boyar Park to the 605 on-ramp will be occasionally closed from March 10 to March 31 as the Gas Company undertakes a project to do routine safety maintenance on a major gas line located nearby.
Some days between March 10-31, there will be no work being done and traffic will not be affected. Other days the slow lane will be closed, usually just during daylight hours. The closures will be for traffic control for loading and unloading of trucks, not for any excavations on the street.
The on-ramp to the 605 will stay open, but traffic may be slow entering it if there is a lane closure.
Motorists may want to seek alternative routes during the March 10-31 time frame.
The City of Lakewood is publicizing this project as a courtesy to local residents. The work is being carried out by the Southern California Gas Company.
