Stay cool in Lakewood pools this summer

Kids and adults can stay cool and have fun at both Lakewood pools this summer with recreation swim, swimming lessons, adult lap swimming, and more.

Mayfair Pool
Recreation swim: Daily recreation swim begins Saturday, June 18 and runs through Aug. 28 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and 2:45 to 4:15 p.m.
Resident fees are $1 for children and $1.50 for adults (age 18+). Non-resident fees are $2 for children and $3 for adults (age 18+).
In September, recreation swim will be held on weekends only from Sept. 3-25, in addition to being open Labor Day.

Water Aerobics: Get a head start on your summer fitness with a splash! Check out the Water Aerobics classes held Tuesday/Thursday evenings, or the Aqua Zumba classes on Mondays or Wednesday evenings. McCormick Pool at Bolivar Park
The City of Lakewood and the Lakewood Family YMCA are teaming up to offer full programming at the McCormick Pool at Bolivar Park this summer.
Recreation swim: Continues daily through Sunday, Sept. 4.
- Monday-Friday: Lakewood residents can enjoy recreation swims at McCormick Pool Monday through Friday.
- Saturday-Sunday: Weekend recreation swims will start Saturday, June 18.
The normal fees residents are charged at Lakewood pools will apply: $1 for children and $1.50 for adults (age 18+).

Pool Rules
- Minimum enrollment required for each class.
- Each session includes eight days of instruction and one fun day
- Classes are subject to cancellation and class schedule is subject to change.
- Swim diapers must be worn by all children four years and younger and are available for purchase at the pool.
- Approved swimsuits are required. No cut-off pants, leotards, sweats, baseball shorts or shirts are allowed (rash guards only).
- Suits and towels are not provided.
- Swimmers with long hair must tie their hair in a ponytail.
- Students may be moved to the most developmentally appropriate level.
Wading pools at Lakewood parks
Wading pools for youngsters ages 3 to 7 are free and are open from June 18 through August 28, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. as follows:
