Senior Services and Human Services

The City of Lakewood has canceled or postponed city events and recreation classes effective Friday, March 13 until further notice. In addition, the Weingart Senior Center and Burns Community Center will be closed until further notice to reduce the risk of the coronavirus spreading among the vulnerable senior population that congregates in those centers. Lunchtime meals at Weingart will be distributed for take-home use. Meals on Wheels deliveries from Burns will continue but will be staffed in a way that minimizes the congregating of volunteers.
