Raising Cane's opens in Lakewood
Members of the Lakewood City Council and community leaders joined Raising Cane's staff for a grand opening celebration on Tuesday, March 20 at the chain's new Lakewood location on Restaurant Row at 4634 Candlewood St. (at the site of the former Elephant Bar).
Raising Cane's has over 360 restaurants in 23 states, and this is their 9th eatery in California.
Named after the founder's yellow lab, Raising Cane's was launched in 1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and features fresh, never-frozen chicken finger meals, sweet tea and fresh-squeezed lemonade.
The company is known for its active community involvement, including fundraising opportunities (in the areas of education, feeding the hungry and pet welfare). In 2018, Raising Cane's partnered with Lemonade Day to encourage tomorrow's leaders by teaching youth about entrepreneurship and its positive economic impact on the community.
Raising Cane's is open Sunday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. For more information, visit www.raisingcanes.com.
