No street sweeping ticketing effective Dec. 14

No street sweeping ticketing effective Dec. 14

In view of the recent re-implementation of a regional Stay At Home order, and because many people are at home now and can't easily find off-street places to park, the City of Lakewood will not issue street sweeping parking citations for at least the next few weeks.

The city will notify the public in the free weekly Lakewood Connect eMagazine before re-instituting ticketing. To subscribe, visit www.lakewoodcity.org/emag

Even though the city will not be issuing citations until the more stringent aspects of the Stay at Home order are lifted, the city will still be sweeping streets to ensure they are as clean and sanitary as possible.

To help, the city is asking that residents still endeavor to park their vehicles off the street or on their lawn on street-sweeping day if at all possible.

Please note that parking enforcement will continue for non-street sweeping related violations, such as parking in red zones or blocking sidewalks.
