Adult Sports

Each league plays schedules consisting of between 10-12 games for each team plus playoffs for some leagues.

League opportunities include:

• Men’s Slow Pitch – Wednesday & Friday nights
• Men's Wood Bat Slow Pitch – Friday nights & Sunday afternoons
• Ko-Rec (mixed) Slow Pitch – Monday, Tuesday & Thursday evenings or Sunday afternoons 

Lakewood's playing fields are manicured and maintained daily for adult softball leagues.

Volleytennis is a fast-paced game played with a volleyball on a volleyball court with a tennis-height net.  This is a low-pressure, high-participation sport.

Teams play approximately ten matches, each match consists of three games.

Basketball

Drop-in play will be organized and monitored by recreation staff. Single court. No registration required.

Wednesdays, 6:30 - 9 p.m.

Volleyball

Free evening, friendly volleyball competition is ongoing at the Hoover Middle School gymnasium. 

Recreation staff will monitor play. Single court. No registration required.

Thursdays, 6:30 - 9 p.m. 

No open gym activities on Thursday, May 5 or Thursday, June 2.

PIckleball is a great sport for older adults, offering plenty of fun and physical activity but less wear-and-tear due to its smaller court size. It's a combination of badminton, ping pong and tennis and is easy to learn.
