San Martin Park

San Martin park, Lakewood, CA

San Martin Park is affectionately known as "Pumpkin Park," due to the original Cinderella-themed pumpkin carriages installed as play equipment when the park was originally built, but which had aged to the point where they were becoming unsafe.

In 2014, the Lakewood City Council celebrated the installation of a large new pumpkin carriage with two horses and a big castle area  San Martin Park,  joined by lots of smiling Lakewood kids as part of the community ribbon-cutting for the renovated playground (see photo).
