Community Gardens

A summer gathering of Lakewood's community gardeners gives insight into this community resource.

The Lakewood Community Gardens (located on Candlewood Street between Woodruff Avenue and Palo Verde Avenue) offers a unique leisure opportunity to residents of all ages.  The 3-acre site is divided into 323 individual gardening plots.

For a yearly fee of $10.00, residents can take advantage of Southern California's year-round growing season. Call 562-866-9771, extension 2408 for garden plot availability.
