Lakewood Artist Guild student scholarship show

The Lakewood Artist Guild will host their annual Student Art Show at Mayfair Park, March 19-21. The art show will be open to the public on Saturday, March 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Young artists from around the area will present work in a variety of mediums for scholarship and recognition awards. On Sunday, March 21, an awards presentation will begin at 3:00 p.m. For more information please contact Mary Crowder at 562-421-8212.

Totally Friday Night returns

Totally Friday Nights are back at the Lakewood Youth Center, beginning on Friday, April 2 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Click for permission slip

Teens can socialize with friends, play air hockey or pool, and compete on the Wii and PlayStation, or just dance. TFN features contests, prizes and a snack bar.

The fun includes a “lights-out” egg hunt on the Youth Center patio. Don’t forget to bring your own flashlight!
