The Lakewood Sheriff’s Community Safety Center offers LiveScan fingerprint services. LiveScan is an electronic system for running background fingerprint checks through the Department of Justice and/or FBI databases often needed for employment purposes.
The Sheriff’s Community Safety Center is located in the Target Wing at the Lakewood Center Mall. Fingerprints will be taken by appointment on Mondays-Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m, Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Walk-ins are accepted as time permits.
There is a $20 rolling fee, plus the cost charged by the agencies receiving the prints. The safety center accepts cash (nothing over $20), check or credit cards. Those being printed will also need to bring photo identification and three copies of the LiveScan application marked with the requesting agency’s information.
