Lakewood City Council meetings
Lakewood City Council meetings are held twice each month--on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month--in the City Council Chambers at The Centre at Sycamore Plaza. City Council meetings are open to the public. They begin at 7:30 p.m. Council meetings are cablecast live on Lakewood Living Channel 31 and are repeated on tape on following the council meeting.

The five members of the city council are elected at-large to serve a four-year term of office. There are no city council districts. Each year, the city council reorganizes, selecting one council member to serve as mayor and another as vice mayor.
