The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at LBCC is a local resource for small businesses and businesses just getting started. The center provides one-on-one counseling and introductory business training seminars in marketing, financing, business start-up, international trade, and procurement programs.

The LBCC center is part of California's regional small business development programs. In turn, they are a part of the United States Small Business Administration's national network of centers.

The centers assist small business through business management counseling and training. Goals are jobs creation and retention of jobs, increases in sales and profits and new business starts.
