Free Halloween carnivals at eight Lakewood parks
The City of Lakewood is offering eight, free, traditional Halloween carnivals for youngsters on October's scariest night. Each major city park offers offer fun and safe Halloween activities on Thursday, October 31, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The popular carnivals feature food and game booths, special contests and prizes for the kids. Some parks also have a super scary "haunted house" for little ghosts and goblins (ages 6-11) to venture inside. There's also a costume contest at each carnival at 7 p.m.
