Golfers (and sponsors) are invited to tee off in support of Project Shepherd by participating in the Kris Kringle Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, December 4 at Lakewood Country Club. Participation will directly benefit Lakewood’s Project Shepherd program and assist local families who are in need during the holiday season.
Golfers will tee off with an 11:45 a.m. shotgun start. This year’s tournament will honor Lakewood Center for its long-time support of Project Shepherd.
For details and tournament registration for participants and sponsorship call 562-866-9771, extension 2404 or visit http://www.lakewoodcity.org/sports for the registration form.
The tournament is a key fundraiser for this special program. Through combined efforts by the Rotary Club of Lakewood and the City of Lakewood, Project Shepherd has provided assistance for 37 years to individuals, hundreds of families, including many children and seniors, living in Lakewood who would otherwise be without food, gifts and toys during the holiday season.
Sponsorship opportunities are available
Community businesses, organizations and individuals have an opportunity to be recognized for supporting this worthwhile holiday assistance program through many tournament sponsor levels and golf participation. Principal sponsors to date are EDCO Waste Services, Lakewood Center, Lakewood Regional Medical Center and L.A. County Supervisor Don Knabe.
