(Published 11/20/09) The Los Angeles County Department of Health is continuing its series of free H1N1 vaccination clinics at locations around the county.
County health officials warn that supplies are currently limited. H1N1 clinics are limited to those in "priority groups" and have no other usual source of medical care.
Some county clinics will close earlier than anticipated due to short supplies. For more information, click for the county’s H1N1 page
Check the county website for updated clinic and flu information at http://www.publichealth.lacounty.gov or call the county information line at 2-1-1.
Currently, the demand for H1N1 vaccine is outweighing local and national supply. As a result, vaccine clinics may close earlier than expected.
If you are NOT in an H1N1 priority group, please wait to get vaccinated until supplies increase. More H1N1 vaccine will be available in the next several days and weeks at some chain pharmacies, private health care providers, and community clinics.
Broader distribution of H1N1 vaccine is not expected until later in the year. Additional vaccine will be also be distributed through private health care providers, doctor's offices, clinics, and some pharmacies as soon as the vaccine arrives from the manufacturer. Call your doctor or health care provider for more information.
