The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department participates in the www.crimereports.com website. The system shows residents crime data as icons on a Google map and is easily searched.
The web-based system shows crime information covering areas patrol by the LASD -- a total of 23 patrol stations covering 40 incorporated cities and the entire unincorporated part of Los Angeles County.
www.crimereports.com users are able to:
- Query crimes by address, zip code, city name
- Query either a date range or a 3, 7, 14, or 30 day view of crime information
- Query various types of crime
- Sort crime information by crime category, date, or distance
- View crime maps of the entire Sheriff’s jurisdiction, a station, a contract city, unincorporated area or a reporting district
- View sex registrant information
- Register to receive e-mail notifications of crime activity for a particular location or area. The notification includes a crime map and a list of crimes, including date, crime type and URN.
