Service look-up gives instant information
Easily finding address-specific information is the goal of the “Services by address” look-up page at Lakewood Online. Web visitors need only put in their house number and street name to find out their trash day, street sweeping day/time, ZIP Code, school district, water service provider, and zoning designation.

Along with providing links for each of their city services, the page offers a collection of information sources of particular interest to those new to Lakewood. Contact information and links for utilities, refuse collection, and phone systems are featured.

The page works in conjunction with the site’s resident information section which goes further by including a listing of legislative contacts and voter information. Click for New Resident page

“We want it to be easy for people to get started in Lakewood. We recognize the Web is a major tool used every day, so we work for one-click convenience. But, putting it online doesn’t diminish our ‘reach-a-live-person’ service commitment,” says service coordinator Paolo Beltran.

Lakewood's customer service liaison staff was instrumental in developing the new look-up. The effort follows their help creating other key online search tools Service Guide A-to-Zhours and contact information and FAQs.

Even more service help

“Customers should know they will get the same quick response when they call us during business hours. Even if they use our after-hours phone system, they’ll find many requests will be routed promptly and responded to on the next business day,” says Beltran.

Lakewood's service request number is 562-866-9771, extension 2140. The service request line is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on alternate Fridays. City hall is closed on alternate Fridays.

If you have a service emergency after normal business hours or on a closed Friday - and you have a touchtone phone - call 562-866-9771 and use the city's automated paging service. An emergency service crew member will return your call. If you have an after-hours emergency and you have a rotary phone, call the Lakewood Sheriff's Station at 562-623-3500.
