Can I bring a portable barbecue to a Lakewood park?
Safety concerns and the crowded condition of Lakewood parks, particularly on weekends and holidays, make bringing your own portable barbecue to a Lakewood park impractical and possibly hazardous to others.
The city maintains a strict ban on portable barbecues at all Lakewood parks.
City-supplied barbecues are in place at all city parks, however. Larger parks have picnic shelters with barbecues, as well.
