The city's 24/7 offerings of Lakewood-focused video from CityTV spans cable, FIOS, and the web. Along with a 24/7 web stream, there is a dedicated archive of segments at Lakewood Online, and a collection of features on YouTube. Segments spotlight Lakewood news, people, happenings, accomplishments and service tips. As widely available as the programming is, it is as "narrow cast" a view of the community as a resident can get. The newest addition to CityTV is complete State of the City coverage. New webcasts include a Community Digest news magazine feature on a city solar system that lives on top of a city water tank, generates 250 kilowatts of power and runs 300-horsepower pumps. Additional segments look at the Lakewood's emergency operations center being put into action as part of the statewide Great California Shakeout earthquake drill. Fall programs looks at San Martin Park's LYS football competition and a new home remodeling show. CityTV programming cablecasts 24/7 on cable channel 31, FIOS and on the Web.
