Streaming media segments bring Lakewood's past, present, and future to light. Using new Flash media, Lakewood Online highlights a series of special CityTV documentaries on city history.
Video clips blend historical photography, film and video footage with interviews of Lakewood residents and city officials. The original collection was created as part of the city's fiftieth anniversary celebration. The city turned fifty on Friday, April 16, 2004. Click for library.

At the end of a two-year project to expand and modernize the Lakewood Sheriff’s Station, Captain Dave Fender and his Team Lakewood deputies gave the community a tour of the scope of sheriff’s law enforcement in Lakewood. On Saturday, February 23 they held a celebratory open house at the station.
Sheriff’s K-9 units, county fire apparatus, and the department’s SWAT team and bomb squad were among the public safety units that were on display in station’s parking area off Civic Center Way. Visitors also toured the new updated facility. Click for to see a CityTV Community Digest segment on the event.

This Web streaming segment features CityTV video coverage of groundbreaking ceremonies for the Lakewood Sheriff's Station modernization project. The event celebrates efforts to improve the facility with a 15,400-square-foot, two-story addition, remodeling two existing buildings, and enlarging one of them by 2,300 square feet.
